What is a NETCC Approved Seller?

A NETCC Approved Seller is a business that has been assessed against the New Energy Tech Consumer Code and shown it meets the standard. The code is administered by the Clean Energy Council and authorised by the ACCC, and it sets minimum standards for how solar, battery and EV charging companies quote, sell, install and support their customers. Approved Sellers are the only businesses allowed to display the badge.

What the code actually requires of us

The New Energy Tech Consumer Code goes further than the Australian Consumer Law. In practice, it means:

  • Fair, clear quotes. Our quotes have to set out what you are getting, what it costs, and what is and is not included, in plain language. No mystery line items, no numbers that change after you sign.

  • Honest sales conduct. No pressure tactics, no scare selling, no today only pricing designed to stop you getting a second quote. If you want to think about it, think about it.

  • Accurate savings claims. Any estimate we give you about performance or bill savings has to be reasonable and explained, not a number picked to win the job.

  • Fair contract terms. Our terms and conditions have to meet the code's requirements, including your cooling off rights.

  • Proper after sales service. Warranty information in writing, a real process if something goes wrong, and a complaints process that does not end at our front door.

  • Ongoing accountability. Approved Sellers are monitored, and the code administrator can investigate complaints and apply sanctions. Approval is not a certificate you frame once and forget.
